It's a Major Award

Yes yours truly has been nominated for a Brilliante Award. If you haven't heard of this award before, where the heck you been living? In a cave with Bin Laden? On a golf course with OJ helping him catch the 'real' killers? Ok, so I'd never heard of it until last week...so what, that doesn't mean it doesn't rank right up there as one of the highlights of my life. It comes right after being named Miss Succotash Queen at the country fair in '79.

I'd Like to Thank All the Little People That Made This Possible

Oh wait there's just me. I deserve all the credit for it. Just me me me. It's not bragging if it's true. I just hope I keep my sweet and humble nature and don't let this award go to my head. I sure hope I can handle the paparazzi, tabloid headlines and inevitable rehab stints.

Thanks Jacque for the nomination. I'm just glad to know you have such great taste - even if you do have a Baby Elmo song on your Blog's music player ;).

The rules for this award are:
- the winner can put the logo on his/her blog
- link to the person you received your award from
- nominate at least 7 other blogs
- put links to those blogs on yours
- leave a message on the blogs of the people you nominate

So I nominate the following:

1. Prettiest Wife in the World because if I don't I might get a shoe thrown at me
2. The Mom because of a shared love for running shoes
3. Mom to a whole lot of Minnie's because I'm way jealous of her girls swimming abilities
4. Between Clever and Stupid because she might just be as nuts as I am
5. Half a Dozen Productions Because she has pretty hair like my wife's
6. Carlson Caravan nominated in spite of the fact that her posts about yummy sandwiches make me hungry
7. The Five of Us because she's the only person I know in France and because she takes like 2 month vacations - I mean holidays

Thanks for the nomination.

I've been to a few of the other blogs you nominated and they are good. However, I'm not sure the award commitee will be impressed by my poor grammar and incomplete thoughts. Which leads me to the following question. Are you trying to water down the competition with my nomination?

You are very very clever:)

Cool! I would be honored to partake in this task.

Your picture doesn't have the link to the award site you go to nominate people. (Or I can't find it.....so typical of me)

Kristi there is no site. I was confused at first too. the picture link is just so you can copy it.
just cut and paste the 'rules' to your site and that's about it.

I don't know who started this orginally

Thanks for letting me know Rob!

Well whoever started it.... good luck to them. They are going to be busy:)

Thanks for the nomination my brother. I will think long and hard and see who I can come up with that is as brilliant as your own nominations.

I nominated you for the award that has your name all over it...READY?....it's the:

Kick Ass Blogger Award.

Come to my blog to see why!

Evidently SCD, I am a bit naive, cuz I said...what? I don't have a baby elmo song on my blog...hmmm...think about it...wait for it...um, clearly you don't mean Archie? The same Archie I would seriously stalk if I was 25 years younger?

Jacque - yeah Baby Elmo = Archie. That was my nickname for him when AI was on. He really annoyed me (might be a guy thing).
Careful with that stalking thing...don't want to see you on an episode of 'Cops'

Thanks Rob! I am truly flattered. But then, it is all about the hair ;-)

Since I know you in real life, I know your little blogger heart will not be broken if I decline the award this time. I'm just too new to the blogging world and don't have enough blogger buddies to nominate 7. I'd be left nominating you again and then a vicious circle would ensue.

Blessings!

After you made fun of Archie...I was reminiscing of your fabulous AI posts. In fact, that is when I started reading SCD. I'm not sure which I enjoyed most...Idol or your take on it :) We read them out loud in the office...I wonder if you should have gotten some kind of commision for that?
