13 mile run at lunch time (an extended lunch hour – it is really too nice out to work).
I found a new way to judge how the economy is doing. This is better than interest rates and unemployment rates.
On my lunch time running route there is an old guy who sits on his front porch and drinks beer and watches TV. I think he watches The Price is Right since he is out there from 11am to noon (good time of day to drink beer).
He used to drink Budweiser but ever since the economy has gone into the toilet he has been drinking Busch beer. If he switches to Red White and Blue or Milwaukee’s Best that will be a sign that we have gone from a recession to a depression.
