Today's Workouts

21 miles running (34km). Don't ask why. I feel old today. Walking like an old man who has had too much prune juice.

I am not worthy ... only ran a stinkin' 2 miles. When do you run? How do you deal with the heat? Do you drink any fluids during?

at first i was training for the Baltimore Marathon in October (which I'm still going to do as a training run).
But last week I signed up for the JFK 50. A 50 mile race in the central-westeren part of Maryland.
It's run on the appilachian trail and C & O Canal tow-path. the race is the saturday before Thanksgiving. Hence the increased running mileage...I'm not sure what I've gotten myself into.

Don't be-little your 2 miles. You are doing something. That's a whole lot better than most people.
I normally run at lunch of before work. today I ran from 5:30-8:30.
I don't mind the heat, i'm not going to run 21 miles when it's 95 out, but i like the warm temps.

I went through 2 24 ounce bottles of sports drink
